What Precautions Should Be Taken During Dental Treatment In A Diabetic?

I'm a woman and I'm a diabetic for about 35 years, I'm on the insulin pump doing very good, I also had 2 knee surgerys on same knee. My weight was 125-130 and now I,m 108-111 also I,m having dental work done and I think that"s the problem. please tell me what I can do Thank you

Dear madam i can understand your concern.
uncontrolled diabetes is associated with poor dental outcomes.
the most important things to be taken care in a diabetic undergoing dental procedure are
1.proper antibiotic prophylaxis(your dentist will guide you)
2.stop aspirin if you are taking.
3.check for Hba1c before procedure and make sure that its in a good control.
4.monitor sugars regularly until the wound heals and follow dentist advise properly
