What Lab Tests Should Be Done Prior To Laproscopy Of Inguinal Hernia?
I am having an inguinal hernia repaired laproscopically soon. The suregeon is ordering blood work in advance. What type of lab tests are typical for this surgery? I am 52 years old in in good health. I am on 30 mg. of Lisinopril and 10 mg. of Zocor.
You have to get routine pre anaesthetic check done before surgery. This includes Chest X ray, EKG, Complete blood work up, Routine urine examination, fasting blood sugar, Bleeding time and clotting time, HIV and Hepatitis B tests. These are important tests which need to be done before a laproscopic surgery. An anesthetist will clinically examine you a day before your surgery.
