What Is The Treatment For Tightness In Throat And Difficulty In Eating In A Pregnant Lady?

I'm 7 months pregnant. I am currently suffering from what seems to be post nasal drip-page. On the other hand, the past few days I have been having difficulty eating. Every time I eat, I feel as if it burns. I have stopped drinking coffee and mostly started drinking water. I notice as well when I drink soda, it burns as well. I also feel a tightness in the middle of my throat. Sleeping is fine but eating is troublesome. I do have a history of previous acid reflux, sphincter of oddi dysfunction that was corrected, and severe allergies.

Hello

It is likely that your acid reflux has increased and this is causing the swelling in your throat. This is common in pregnancy as the pressure in the abdomen is increased and the sphincters are more relaxed due to hormonal changes.you will have to avoid coffee , tea and oily food and take small meals rather than one large meal. if this does not work , meet your doctor for examination and further advice.
Thanks
