What Is The Treatment For An Ear Infection?

My doc has prescribed me prochlorperazine as she suspects I may have a middle ear infection due to to keep feeling dizzy and light headed? Has been happening around two weeks, happens everyday. Comes and goes. Is this the correct diagnosis and medication. I also have just had a chest infection and flu. I think I may be over infection and flu now but still wake at night feeling really cold and very sweaty? Could you please help? Thank you

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read your history and understood your concerns.
Since you have a history of flu the problems of ear infection, dizziness and light headedness are all related to the flu.
This is called post-viral complication and takes about 3 weeks to get cleared.
You need a Symptomatic treatment and prochlorperazine is a good choice, please continue.
But I think that you need a detailed clinical evaluation, examination and proper additional treatment.
Good nutritious diet.
A good bed rest to recover faster and completely.
