What Is The Remedy For The Bumps At The Back Of The Tongue And Food Being Tasteless?

Hi Doc
I have bumps at the back of my tongue and they are painful. Today it is my 18th day after tonsillectomy. I'm not taking any medication. What can I use for these bumps. I still have the scaba as well. Tried to eat normal food the taste is very bad so I'm back to eating jelly and custard.

Many thanks

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello. please start eating normal food now, your taste sensation will return. the bumps on the back of your throat maybe enlarged lymphoid tissue, this is seen after tonsillectomy and will settle in a few days. if however you still have pain or unable to swallow, please consult your ENT doctor , who will examine you and guide you further. avoid hot and spicy food for few more days! thanks
