What Is The Remedy For Hip And Leg Pain Causing By Chest Infection?
Hi, I have been prescribed steroid tablets and clarithromicin for a bad chest infection. Since I started with the chest infection my legs and hip have been aching which is more noticeable at night. I was wondering if I can take paracetamol with the above? I was worried of the amount id be taking as I need 6 steroid tablets everyday for 5 days. Thanks Leanne

I think you should consult pulmonologist and discuss your problem again.
As high dose steroids are not given in lung infection.
Steroids actually flare up the infection and worsen it.
Your hip and leg pain can be due to
1. Infection
2. Steroid induced myositis.
So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these. You may not require steroids.
