What Is The Reason For Vomiting After Recovering From Upper Respiratory Infection?

Hi, my son is 17 months and he has been in amoxicillin for a week now for an upper respiratory infection. He was fine for about four days. For the past two nights he's been throwing up about half an hour after falling asleep. His vomit looks like his dinner plus a lot of white chunks. Any idea of what this might be?

Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Occasionally children having upper respiratort tract infection present with vomiting which is due to post nasal drip of secretions through the nares.
Normal saline Nebulization will be very helpful in the management.
If the baby is passing stools normally and has no distension of abdomen , i see no cause for concern.

In case you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.

Wishing you happy and healthy life
