What Is The Prognosis For Legs Arteries Clogging?

I have a close friend whose had a quadruple bypass in 1998, and a surgery on his arteries in his neck in 2003. He is 70 years old, and has been told that both of the arteries in both legs are clogged from his abdomen down. He is diabetic as well. He will see a specialist in a month. What is his prognosis?
