What Is The Normal Resting Heart Rate For An Adult?

What is the normal resting heart rate for a 52 year old male that works in an office and does not exercise. weight is 203 pounds height is 5'10". Current rest rate observed from a Sportline monitor is 81. It was 87 about ten minutes before after a stressful business phone conversation.

Normal heart rate of a individual is considered between 70-110/min. It can increase with exercise or stress and is low in athletes.
