What Is The Normal Range Of BP, SGPT And Cholesterol?

From Stanly, Age 42, male. height 5'10", weight 75 Kg.

Dear Doctor,

My Blood Sugar fasting- 67, post lunch- 85.

BP fluctuating- 140-160/ 85-100.

SGOT- 26, SGPT 47.

Cholestro Total- 223, HDL- 47, LDL 109, Tryglycerides- 331, VLDL- 66.28. I have slight pain on left side indicating the existence of a kidney stone.

Whether the above resutlts suggests a kidney stone, should I go for sonography?

Whether the BP, SGPT and cholestrol levels shown above requires any medication?

Will my habit of 100ml whiskey per day before dinner has any adverse effect on the readings?

Kindly advise.

thanks

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern about your results. i would like to give ans one by one.

your Blood sugar level is almost normal.

your BP is slightly high for that you should go for repeated measurement with salt restricted diet. and if persistent high then go for anti hypertensive medication accordingly.

your SGOT and SGPT is slightly higher. it may be due to your alcohol habit. it affect the liver. you may have some alcoholic liver disease. investigate for that.
your lipid profile is almost normal. slighlty high triglyceride level is there.

you have pain on left side may be due to kidney stone. however above reports has no relation with kidney stone. you should go for sonography and then take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts you can ask me further. I will be happy to answer you.
