What Is The Need Of Sleep Test Before Tonsillitis Surgery ?

is it nessarsary my 4 year old has a sleep test before his tonsils operation. 1 he snores loudly 2.his tougue roll back sometimes when he sleep 3. sometimes he stops breathing in his sleep 4.he breath loudly 5. he weeze all the time

Welcome to HCM.
All of the above except rolling back of tongue could be due to enlarged tonsils itself.
The E.N.T. surgeon who is going to operate on the child is the right person to decide whether sleep test is necessary. You have to inform him about all these happenings of your child during sleep and if he feels necessary he will advise you accordingly.
