What Is The Medication For High Sugar Levels Having Insulin Resistance?
I am diabetic 2, on 60mg lantus,40mg novalog.. Readings are 250-350. Dieting,exercising daily. Have insulin resistance.age. Age 87. Urgently need oral prescription to solve problem. Present endocronogist wants 8 blood readings/day. Then wait 3 weeks for appointment. I need help now. Actos & Medmofin have been mentioned but am reluctant to take either because of side effects. Do you have any advice? Thank you.
Dear user, you are on heavy dose of insulin, still you have high sugars. you can take sitagliptine 100mg a day or liraglutide 0.6 mg s/c /d to start with. metformin also can be taken along with these safely upto 2.5 g /d . Regards!
