What Is The Meaning Of The Scan Report?

hi doctor....my last mensuration date was 7.11.13 and OBST SCAN report on 12.01.14 that 1.single intrauterine regular shape getational sac seen measuring 13mm in dia corresponding to 6 weeks 3 days.yolk sac not seen.fetal pole not seen.minimal choriodecidual hemorrhage observed.cervix measures 35mm long ,not dilated.
left ovary corpus luteum cyst 24mm in dia seen
IMPRESSION:BLIGHTED OVUM(ANEMBRYONIC PREGNANCY)
(GA BY LMP=9W 3D),CHORIODECIDUAL HEMORRHAGE left corpus luteum
plz suggest and clear me the above report.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You need follow up scan after 2 weeks.
There is a single intrauterine gestational sac noted measuring 13 mm in diameter corresponding to 6 weeks 3 days..
Fetal pole or yolk sac is not seen,present condition only need follow up scan.
Non visualization of fetal part may be due to many reasons like blighted ovum,wrong measurement of fetal maturity,wrong date etc.
There is also minimal choriodecidual hemorrhage noted along with left corpus luteum.
Cervix is normal.
