What Is The Life Expectancy With Enlarged And Leaky Heart Valve?

my mother in law is 83 with an enlarged heart and leaky heart valve. no surgery has been suggested to repair the valve and she would refuse it anyway. how long can she stay alive under these condidtions. she is out of breath walking across a small room.
