There are 4 stages of HF, A B C & D. Stage 3 or C is when the doctors have done just about all they can and it is now up to the patient to take care of them self. (Short of a transplant= Stage D) IF the patient is taking all their meds, Eating right and exericing from the doctors orders (Sometimes no exerice is allowed at this point) & the stents, pacemaker, A fibs etc etc are in olace AND working and no infections set in the person can live a long life, maybe 15 years or more! Hope this helped
