Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

She may be suffering from pharyngitis with rheumatic arthritis with elevated ESR. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

If she is having recurrent tonsillitis then better to get it done a tonsillectomy. So it is better to give primary prophylaxis for rheumatic heart disease.

Please consult your physician/ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
