Hi,
Cold feeling in windpipe while breathing in the morning indicates increased sensitivity of the
mucous membrane of the lower respiratory system. The most probable causes are:
- Inflammation of the mucous lining of
respiratory tract due to
allergy or infection
- Too cold outside in the morning
I would advise you the following:
- Avoid sudden exposure to changes temperature zones, particularly in the morning
- Identify the allergens and avoid all these
Avoid exposure to cold in the morning
- Take a course of antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicines
- Symptomatic and supportive management as per the cause found n clinical evaluation and correlation with the reports
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
