What Is The Cause Of A Rare Occurence Of A Sharp Pain In The Upper Part Of My Chest Lasting For A Second Or Two?
recently I have a sharp pain in my upper part of my chest lasting only for a second or two. Only happens once in a while sometime strong ripping pain sometime just a slight reminder of it. It also happens at night time. Please let me know what this could be. I thank you for your help.
Sudden onset of chest pain at night should always evaluate for heart diseases. So better to consult a cardiologist and get done blood pressure monitoring, ECG, 2D Echo and stress test (trade mill test). If all these are normal, then no need to worry about heart diseases. Sometimes simple muscular spasm can also cause similar kind of pain. So apply warm water pad on affected areas. Take simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these, but the first rule out heart diseases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
