What is the cause for the swelling below my left rib cage ?
i have a swelling under my ribcage .its on the left side right next to the sternum that separates left from right.it is so uncomfortable and sometimes feels as if it is generating heat.could you please tell me what it is and the necessary steps to be taken.thank you.

A swelling under the ribcage is probably from liver or stomach or any swelling from the skin.If you have swelling from liver , it would pain a little bit and your urine might turn yellow and show features of jaundice.Do you have any of these symptoms?
Please mention few more symptoms if you have any like pain , size , size variation , relation with cough , as a comment.We will surely help you.

i dont have have any of those symtoms.it just makes the lft side of my body feels uncomfortable and hot at times.now that i really feel it,it feels like fat gathering on top of my ribcage under my left breast.
