What Is The Cause For The Pain In My Left Arm In My Upper Muscle With An Experience Of Tingle Feelings In My Hand?

My mother is 86 yrs old. She is experiencing pain in her left arm in her upper muscle. She also has experienced tingle feelings in her hand. Been to dr and he thinks it could be carpal tunnel for the hand and is not sure about the muscle pain. Pain pills stop the pain briefly and she is ok when she does not move the arm. Our biggest problem is that this is the only arm she can use as she had polio in her right arm years ago.

Hi,
From history it seems that she might be having cervical spondilitis giving rise pressure symptoms and irritation of nerves causing this problem.
Go for x-ray cervical region.
go for physiotherapy and short way diathermy.
Ok and take care.
