General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Colostomy closure patient,I would advice to follow your doctor's advice & treatment strictly. In addition as a general care- Take 2 weeks rest in the beginning, Should avoid pressure/exertion in pelvic area ( sex, driving)for 3 weeks, You can start light work after 6 weeks & heavy work after 8 weeks. Try to improve your genaral condition by taking healthy /nurishing diet as per your doctor's advice. B complex/calcium can be taken as intra muscular injection. Thanks
