What Is The Cefpodoxime Dosage For Sinus Infection?

I have a sinus infection due to thermic chocs (plane air con freezing cold) I know that I will keep it until I use antibiotics as it is recurrent for me. I can start Cefpodoxine (100mg) that I have at home and buy some more later. What do you think? And how many tablets per 24h?

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
Cefodoxime is a third generation cephalosporin. This is usually taken 200 mg orally two times a day after food for 10 days in case of sinusitis.
This should be avoided in case of history of any allergy to penicillin group of drugs.
Its better to buy 200mg tablets, rather than having two 100 mg tablets.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any other questions, I am happy to help you.

Regards,.
