What Is Causing Painful Bruises On Sole Of Feet During Pregnancy?

Hi, I m 17 weeks pregnant and for the last week I ve noticed I ve got bruises on the soles of my feet it s so painful I do work on my feet 5 hours a day but wear flat comfortable shoes and I drive. Any idea what is causing it? I m only 9 stone so I don t think it is excess pressure

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Your body is used to a certain body weight and possible because of the increase in weight pregnancy brings along your feet may be feeling a little more pressure.

Wear more comfortable shoes and also make sure you get your serum uric acid, RA factor and ESR levels checked just to make sure all is well with your foot. An x-ray would also help, so please do consult your doctor with all the above mentioned investigations to rule out any abnormalities.
