Hello. I have been having pain in my stomach for almost 3 days. It gets better for few hours and comes back again. I forced myself to bring up what i had eaten thinking it was bad food but the pain in upper middle of my tommy is not going away. I took gasex and tumbs. It gave it a rest for 2 to 3 hours and its back again. Any suggestion. I have had d same thing before but not lasting for such a long time and normaly it would b better after the throuing up.but not this time and i dont have as normal as im used to stomach movement.please advise
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Intermittent stomach ache indicates the following possibilities: Intestinal obstruction, partial one. Colitis or gastritis. This can be diagnosed by the following: X-ray of the abdomen in standing position, particularly when in pain. Tests of stool, blood and urine. Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen. Upper GI Endoscopy and colonoscopy as may be needed after a clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon. You may need surgery if there is an intestinal obstruction. Medical treatment for a long time as per the clinical evaluation and reports of the investigations.
