What Is Causing Pain And Fullness Feeling In Rectum?
47 year old male. Pain and feeling of fullness in the left side of rectum, near the opening. Have used proctosedyl suppositories but only provides occasional light relief. Have experienced some rare bleeding - bright red on toilet paper not mixed with stool. When pain subsides in lower rectum then I experience occasional sharp pains in lower back, especially after just getting out of bed and after sitting for a long time. I experienced constant pain like this a few years ago which subsided after almost 11 months. It has now returned and has been there for several months. It seems also to subside somewhat after a few glasses of wine! Any suggestions?
