Mirena IUD is an IntraUterine System , a hormonal contraceptive device that is placed in the uterus and releases a low dose of levonorgestrel (a progestogen hormone).
Clinical Use:
Contraception,menorrhagia (heavy periods), endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, dysmenorrhoea, and anaemia.
