What Dosage Of Thyronorm Is Suggested For This TSH Level?
Hello Doctor, My TSH levels were high and I ve been taking 112.5mcg of Thyronorm from 3 months. And now my TSH value is 0.03. So need to reduce Thyronorm dosage. Please suggest me what amount of medicine I should consume and for how long. And when should I get my next TSH test done. Please answer. Thank you, Kavya
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Yes, your TSH level now is low and secondary to usage of thyronorm you have developed hyperthyroidism. I appreciate your knowledge that you know dose adjustment needed as per TSH level. Now you will need 50 or 75 ug dose for hypothyroidism. Check TSH after a month and then every three months. Maintenance dose has to be taken for life time. Regular follow up is necessary.
Advise : Consult physician or nearby endocrinologist if available and discuss all these.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care. Dr. Parth Goswami
