What Dosage Of Optisulin Should Be Taken For Type 2 Diabetes?

I m a Type 2 Diabetic aged 52 and will be 53 years old this July. I have been a diabetic since 1992 (22 yrss as a diabetic) and have a family history of diabetes through my mother who was a severe diabetic. I have always been treated with Diamicron and Metformin. Currently, I take the following drugs to control my diabetes: Diamicron- 3 x 80mg (3 times a day) and Metformin- 6 x 500mg (1g x 3 times a day). Along with the drugs here mentioned, I also take Neurobion Forte in the morning and Mecobalamin in the afternoon and night. Last year, a doctor friend prescribed chromium picolinate and it helped very much in keeping the FBS low range. I have now decided to start off with Optisulin capsules from Dr. Reddy s Lab . I would like to know what dosage I should take and the frequency. Please advise.

Hi dear,
Good day.
Neurobion forte, Optisulin etc are vitamin supplements and truly speaking they don't have much influence on your diabetes status. However, as you are on big dose of Metformin, that may cause Vitamin deficiencies. It is proven. At the same time, Metformin is a wonderful drug in the treatment of diabetes.. You can take Optisulin once a day.
