What Does Tiny Red Dot On Tip Of Penis Indicate?

I recently just went to see a doctor about a white spot on my shaft thinking it was type 1 or type 2 herpes he said it was a normal cyst like bump but later i went home and examined more closely everywhere and noticed a tiny red dot on the tip of my penis. Is this normal? It is not raised its just a small single red dot. Please let me know what this is. Could it be the start of gentile herpes?

Hello,

Tiny red dots on the tip of the penis are indicative of contact dermatitis. Do not share toiletries or towels, clothes or bed sheets, etc. It can be due to fungal infection or jock itch. Use Clotrimazole ointment on the affected area. It will give you relief. In case you are not getting relief, it may be indicative of STD, herpes or syphilis.

Get STD tests done. If report is positive, you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals. You are advised to avoid multiple partners and perform safe sex if sexually active. Stay away from any type of sexual activity till you are being treated. Avoid smoking, taking alcohol, recreational drugs, etc.
