i am 21yrs old virgin. with an enlarged liver, which shows homogenous parenchymal echo patern, Moderate ascites and thick walled mass with internal septations in the right adnexa. The right ovary is not visualised separate from the mass, the left ovary could not be visualised. I have also lost a lot of weight recently.
i have been adviced to have an MRI scan. what could be the cause of this?
1.The liver is enlarged in size with free fluid in the peritoneal cavity - possibilities can be due to the renal condition. 2.The right adnexa lesion shows multi-cystic / cyst with septa - are features of the ovarian lesion with features of complexity. 3.Features are of more towards malignancy - ovarian mass lesion. 4.In this case CT / MRI for further evaluation and presence of any lymph nodal enlargement, involvement of the adjacent structures. 5.Weight loss also favours malignancy, so followup with further contrast cross sectional studies are suggested.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
