Hi im Andy i just have may Xray and the result is there are fibronodular densities in the litf upper lateral pleural space. heart is normal in size. aorta is non tortuous. diaphragm and its sinuses are intact. Is fibronodular densities a positive TB? thank you.
Any fibronodular opacities in upper lobe must be evaluated for TB. It does not mean that there is TB but the first suspicion on such findings suggest clinical diagnosing or confirming TB. This may also be a residual finding if you had TB months or years back. If you have sudden onset cough and fever then you need to take a course of antibiotics and then repeat chest X ray after a week.
