What Does There Is Bilateral Intraperitoneal Spillage Of Contrast, The Tubes Are Patent Indicate?

Hi. I received my HSG report and it states that both fallopian tubes are opacified, relatively normal course and caliber. It also references "Perhaps" mild dilatation of the more distal tubes consistant with some peritubal adhersions more so on the left, however, there is bilateral intraperitoneal spillage of contrast, the tubes are patent. What does this mean? Will I be able to get pregnant or will IUI or IVF be my best option? Thank you.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You have almost normal reports.
Both Fallopian tubes tubes appears normal in course and caliber but there is mild dilatation of tubes distally and it may be consistent with some peritubal adhesions(more in the left side).
However the most important factor is free spillage of contrast ,which is normal in your case.
So,there shouldn't be any problem in normal pregnancy.

Hope I have answered your question.
Take Care
