What Does The Result Showing:" Total Bilirubin Is 1.30 Conjugated Direct Bilirubin Is 0.80" Indicate?

Hi Sir, yesterday i had liver function test...and result comes Total Bilirubin is 1.30 Conjugated Direct Bilirubin is 0.80 and Unconjugated indirect Bilirubin is 0.50, total protein 7.60, albumin is 4.40, globulin is 3.20, A/G Ration is 1.375, SGOT is 52 and SGPT is 118, ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE (IFCC METHOD) IS 81, gamma GT is 137. Could you tell us what disease i am suffering ...thanks in advance

Thanks for writing to HCM

Increased SGPT indicates liver injury.Bilirubin level is also increased.It is also important to know lipid profile,viral markers.Ultrasound of abdomen should be done.
SGOT is non specific and it increases in other conditions also.
Increased GGT indicates alcoholic liver injury.
You can take tablet Ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months.It will help in regeneration of liver cells.
You should avoid alcohol completely if you take it.
You should avoid red meat and high fat milk products.
Cook food in olive or canola oil.
You should take limited salt in your diet.
Take lot of fruits and vegetables.You should also increase your physical activity in the form of walking and exercise.
You can also do meditation and yoga.It will help a lot.
