What Does The X-ray Report 'no CHF Or Pneumonia Pneumothorax Or Effusion' Mean?
Hi, I went to the doctor the other day ,becauseb I wasn't feeling good I've had a cough for over 2 months and I went to the doctor then and all the doctor gave me was Amoxicillian and cough syrup , so I went back to the doctor 2 days ago and they did 2 chest x-rays. So the xrays came back saying no CHF or pneumonia pneumothorax or effusion. Can you tell me in layman's term what they said?
No CHF means you do not have congestive heart failure, heart failure due to decrease in heart function. Neither do you have pneumonia (lung infection), pneumothorax (abnormal free air in the chest) nor effusion (fluid collection in the chest).
Your chest X ray is normal.
