What Does Stool Test Showing Semi Digested Form With Pus Cells 0-3/hpf Mean?
mY SON IS 4 MONTH OLD.HE HAS HAD FEEDING ISSUES SINCE BIRTH ...was put on formulae feed because of my medical condition.I tried relactation and he did breastfeed till last week.He suddenly left my feed completely and since he wasnt gaining weight on my feed we put him back on formulae bottle feed.But now he doesnt seem to take the recommended amount of feed though his weight is fine . he was 3.2kgs at birth with a height of 50 cm .He now is 6.7 kgs and 66 cm .He is pretty active and happy baby .The color of his stools has been green 4 a long time( since 2 months ) but the doc kept saying it is normal.now the doc advised a stool examination which shows as follows:
colour - Grenish Grey
Form & Consistence - Semi Digested
Reaction- Acidic
pus cells -0-3/hpf
R.B.C - NIL
Macrophages - NIL
Protozoal parasites - NIL
Helminthic ova - NIL
Other observations- NIL
What does above mentioned stool examination reveal/signify.

Hi.. This report is normal.. Green coloured stools in otherwise healthy baby are normal.. If weight gain is ok continue the same formula and keep trying the beast feeding... Thanks
