I received my MRI report which states there is reversal of the usual cervical lordosis but w/o focal misalignment Is thatr the same as Kyphosis. I will follow up w/my doctor; however, my appointment isn t for two weeks, so i m being inpatient.. :)

Welcome to health care magic.

1.The report suggest there is loss of normal curvature of the cervical spine with some kyphosis - exaggerated bend.
2.The report has not mentioned any thing about the disc and vertebral joint spaces.
3.You may need to get a AP/LAT cervical x-ray to assess the bony changes if there are any wedging of the vertebrae.
4.The loss of curvature can be due to the nerve pressure causing pain reflex or spinal chord indentation.
5. Initially exercises and physiotherapy is mostly suggested followed by operative if any requirement is seen.

Good luck.
Hope i have answered your query,
any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask.
