What Does "hypoplastic Mastoid Air Cells On The Left Side" Mean In An MRI?
i had an mri of my brain and the mri found that the paranasal sinuses demonstrate trace amounts of anterior ethmoid air cells. Also there are hypoplastic mastoid air cells on the left side. I had the mri for dizziness. can you explain what these findings maen and how they relate to my dizziness. also one eye pupil is abnormal

There are air containing sinuses named mastoids in the region behind the ears. Usually these develop by early adult hood and are normally seen as a concentration of air cells. In your MRI report it shows that on the left side the air component of the mastoid is less than the opposite side. This is probably by birth and not a disease by itself but can cause certain conditions including dizziness. Please consult an ENT surgeon.
