What Does Pain In Knee With Arthritis & No Blood Clots Suggest?

I have pain in my left knee, top of foot , and some hip discomfort. I haven t had knee problems until last week when it was so bad I couldn t stand on it without acute pain. X-rays showed nothing but arthritis and ultrasound showed no blood clot. What should I do now ?
