moderate canal and bilateral recess stenosis at L3 L4 level due to small broad based disc herniation and facet arthropathy

small synovial cyst on the right contracting and flattening the cord.the cord appears narrowed with a suggestion of T2 signal abnormality posteriorly raising the possibility of myelonalacia

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

You seem to be having degenerative changes in your lower back region at the level of vertebrae L 3 and L 4. There are small flat disc like structures which have got mildly disturbed in your case and are herniating into the spinal canal and also causing pressure symptoms on the nerves along the sides at that level. The small synovial cyst may not be significant if you do not have any other problems other than pain at L 3 and L 4 nerve distribution sites. However a complete neurological clinical examination is suggested to know if you have any symptoms because of the synovial cyst and possible myelomalacia.
