What Does My X Ray Report Say With Linear Opacity Of The Right Mid Lung Field?

An X-Ray showed a linear opacity of the right mid lung field, consistent with parenchymal scarring. There is minimal haziness over the left lung base, stable as compared to the prior exam, consistent with chronic parenchymal changes. What is it in plane english?

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to worry for this parenchymal scarring because it is stable and not worsening as compare to previous x ray.
Any lung insult whether tuberculosis, pneumonia or Pulmonary contusions heal by fibrosis and calcification.
This appear as scarring on chest x ray. It is actually healing process and remains as it is through out the life.
So no treatment is required because your scar lesion is stable.
So no need to worry for this parenchymal scarring, it is nothing but healed, inactive lesions.
Hope I have solved your query.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
