Hello,

It means you have got a valve problem, mostly it's a mitral valve and it's been leaking, it's not functioning properly. It is usually a progressive disease and may lead to symptoms like shortness of breath. Doctor wants to keep a eye on it, just to monitor its severity and when it becomes severe and start damaging your heart, he ll advice for valve repair or replacement surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sagar Makode
