What Does Light Brown With Black Specks In Stool Indicate?

My daughter is 2 1/2 and about once a week has poop that turns very light brown with little black specs (looks like pepper or flax seeds in it). Should I be worried or is this normal? about 2 months ago had to change her diet to eat Gluten and Dairy Free.

Hello,

Change in color of potty is usually normal in relation to change of certain food ingredients. If child is playful, gaining weight properly, no crying from stomach cramps, no bleeding in stools or other systemic issues then it is normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
