What Does A Test Report For Chest As EKG ST Segment Changes Indicate?
I m a 42 year old female who has hypertension. I ve been having a lot of chest pains and shortness of breaths. I ve been refer to a cardiologist to make sure everything is ok with my heart. I ve just recently received a letter from the cardiologist that the test shows a EKG ST segment changes. Is this something I should be concern about?
Thanks for your question on HCM. Since you are hypertensive with chest pain and shortness of breath and EKG changes in ST segment, is big reason to worry. ST segment changes in EKG suggest ischaemia. In my opinion you should undergo coronary angiography to rule out major vessel narrowing. So consult your cardiologist and start treatment.
