What Does A Lump On Back Beneath The Hairline On Neck Indicate?

hi doc, found lump on back of neck, a bit beneath hairline just right off center. it's oval and about 1" cirrcimfernace, some pain to the touch, i can feel it as i turn neck too far right and after pressing on it i get queezy feeling, light stomach nausea. ct w/contrast showed no lymph problems but did show a mass under the muscle, will be getting contrast mri once insurance ok's it. i'd like to do some research and googeling hasn't been productive. what's back there, what could it be?

Hi,Dear,
Thanks for the query to HCM. I studied your problem in depth and I understood your concerns.
Cause and plan of Treatment-
In my opinion on the given data,you seem to have folliculitis,which has grown and is quiet painful.Er Surgeon would fix the diagnosis,when the CT contrast has failed once.
Plz check out with your ER Surgeon who would treat it accordingly.
So don't build up wrong concepts and self medicate your self which would increase risks and costs to you.
Instead just ask a query to HCM and be comfortable to resolve your health issues.
