What Does TSH Level Of 7.5 Indicate During Pregnancy?
Good morning Sir , I am 37 yr old and 9 weeks pregnant. This is my first issue. I have a thyroid test in which my tsh level is 7.5. What should i do ? What are the risks ? I want to know the details. I am very nervous after surfing the net about tsh level details.

The TSH reflects the level of thyroid hormones. If the thyroid hormones are low then it will effect the mental growth of the baby.
Ideally TSH should be below 2.5. It is good that it had been detected very early in pregnancy as you are only 9 weeks.
You should start tab eltroxin 100 mcg immediately and repeat TSH and FREE T3 ,T4 After 3 weeks.
Please review back with reports.
If treated early in pregnancy low thyroid does not effect baby.
