What Could The Dark Bloody Substance Coming Out Of The Vagina In A 12 Year Old Be?

I'm only twelve years old and all of a sudden this dark gooey bloody substance came out from my vagina. I haven't started my period yet and don't know what to do. This process has been happening for around four days. But yesterday and today nothing has come out at all. I feel worried and don't know what to do.

Hi,

Please do not worry. Most probably, this was your first menstrual cycle. The menstrual blood is dark and thick and not like the blood the flows from cuts and injuries. You may also have felt some abdominal discomfort over the last few days or when the bleeding began. Please inform your mother or any other responsible adult in the family, so that they can guide you. Take care to maintain adequate hygiene.

Best wishes.
