What Could Prevent An Egg From Growing?

I took the obimet 500mg once in a day. I had follicular study. I took the obimet 500mg. On 10th day My Dr. said no egg is form. call me to come on 12th day. that time it grows upto 1.2x1.4mm. when i gone on 14th day she said the egg size gets reduced so that i had hmg on the same day. Again on 16th day the egg grows. but on 18th day she says again it reduces. we will try in the next cycle and ask me take obimet twice and progesterone soft gelatin capsules 200mg. I would like to know why my egg is not grown

Hi,

The hormone FSH—follicle stimulating hormone—is produced and released by the pituitary gland. It's this hormone that triggers the follicles to mature. The lower levels of FSH cause the smaller follicles to grow slower or even stop growing, while the bigger follicle continues its steady development. Probably in the next cycles FSH can be used if not administered before.
