What Could Peeling Of Hands & Soles Of Feet With Blisters Be?

My 3 year old daughter palms of hands and soles of her feet are peeling. They started with tiny air blisters in her fingertips and toes , but has now spread to her soles and palms? She has no pain or complaining of them being itchy. What could this be?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Presence of multiple blisters on palms and soles followed by peeling off of skin suggests vesiculo-bullous dermatosus.
You need to get a biopsy from the bulbous lesions.
Microscopic examination will exactly determine the type of lesion and the pathology in the lesion.

Treatment can be instituted after a diagnosis is made.
Vesiculo-bullous lesions of this type are usually due to autoimmunity.
If proven to be autoimmune in nature, appropriate treatment can be given.

Thanks and take care
