What Could Irregular Periods And Heavy Bleeding Between Periods Post Miscarriage Indicate?
Had a miscarriage last year and got d&c in November. Every since I have had irregular periods when they used to be on time every 28 cycle. Now periods every 2-2 and a half weeks, extremely heavy soaking pads in about an hour an hour and a half. Feeling weak tired what s wrong with me
Bleeding between periods is called as metrorrhagia or breakthrough bleeding: 1. It could be because of hormonal changes, injury or underlying health conditions. [polyps, endometriosis, growth] 2. Check with TVS [trans vaginal sonography] and Pap smear test. - Check your Hb%, WBC, Bleeding disorder profile, thyroid function test.
Regarding your present complaint of heavy bleeding, you can take medicine like Tranexamic acid, 3 times a day for 3 to 5 days and If it does not work, you can take a high dose of progesterone to stop the bleeding after consulting with your gynecologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
