What Could Cause Shortness Of Breath With Burning Throat?

I have been feeling short of breath with activities lately and worse in the past couple of days. when i take a deep breath my throat feels like its burning mildly. i have a very small cough occassionally when i deep breathe, no fever, but a consistently running nose. i went for a chest xray today and it was clear and so was an ekg.

Hi thanks for asking question...

Noted you have normal chest x ray...
So no need for much worry.

As you have runny nose associated.
So you can have viral or allergic rhinitis.
And it can lead to hypertrophied turbinate so difficult breathing can occur....

Symptomatic management done with oxymetazoline drops and chlorpheniremine.
Drink more water.
Avoid smoking.
Steam inhalation done....

You can get your nose and larynx examination by rhinoscopy or direct laryngoscopy........for further work up.

Take care.-Dr.Parth
